When looking for
references about the rapture one must remember several points.
1.
In the
Tribulation people will be saved, and some will be martyred.
2.
If there
is a Post-Tribulational Rapture, there would be:
1.
References
to the saints in tribulation, persecuted by the Antichrist.
2.
No
references to the saints being removed from the earth.
3.
If there
is a Pre-Tribulational or Mid-Tribulational Rapture, there would be:
1.
References
to the church, believers, Christians, and Saints in the tribulation, being
persecuted by the Antichrist.
2.
And
references to the church being removed from the earth.
So knowing that
references to the believers in the Tribulation do not prove anything about
the rapture, we should look for references about the church being removed
prior to the time of wrath. Here is what the early church fathers said about
the rapture:
- Shepard 150 AD
- The writer, after escaping a huge terrifying beast with four
colors on its head (white, red, black and gold), met a virgin in his
vision. "like a bride going froth from a bride-chamber, all in
white...I recognized from the former visions that it was the
church." the virgin explained that she escaped destruction from the
beast (the Great Tribulation) because of God's special deliverance.
"Thou hast escaped a great tribulation because thou hast believed
and at the sight of such a huge beast hast not doubted. Go therefore and
declare to the Elect of the Lord His mighty deeds and say to them that
this beast is a type of the great tribulation which is to come. If ye
therefore prepare yourselves and with your whole heart turn to the Lord
in repentance, then shall ye be able to escape it, if your heart is pure
and blameless." After explaining to him that "the golden color
stands for you who have escaped from this world," the virgin
concluded her messages with, "Now ye know the symbol of the great
tribulation to come. But if ye are
willing, it shall be nothing."
- Victorinus 240AD
- Commentary on the Apocalypse 6.14 - "'And the heaven
withdrew as a scroll that is rolled up.' For the heaven to be rolled
way, that is, that the
Church shall be taken away. "And the mountain and the islands
were moved from their places." Mountains and islands removed from
their places intimate that in the last persecution all men departed from
their places; that is, that the good will be removed, seeking to avoid
the persecution."
- Commentary on the Apocalypse 15.1 - "And I saw another
great and wonderful sign, seven angels having the seven last plagues; for
in them is completed the
indignation of God.'
For the wrath of God always strikes the obstinate people with seven
plagues, that is, perfectly, as it is said in Leviticus; and these shall be in the
last time, when the Church shall have gone out of the midst."
- Cyprian 250 AD
- Epistle 55 - The Antichrist is coming, but above him comes
Christ also. The enemy goeth about and rageth, but immediately the Lord
follows to avenge our suffering and our wounds. The adversary is enraged
and threatens, but there is One who can
deliver us from his
hands." It is significant that he did not write about enduring the
persecution of the Antichrist. Rather, Cyprian promised that Christ
"is One who can deliver us from his hands."
- Cyprian Speaking of the immanency of the Rapture, he wrote,
"Who would not crave to be changed and transformed into the
likeness of Christ and to arrive more quickly to the dignity of heavenly
glory." After telling his readers that the coming resurrection was
the hope of the Christian, he points out that the Rapture should
motivate us as we see the last days approaching. Cyprian says that
"we who see that terrible things have begun, and know that still
more terrible things are imminent, may regard it as the greatest
advantage to depart from it as quickly as possible." Referring to
his hope of the approaching Rapture, he encouraged his readers as
follows: "Do you not give God thanks, do you not congratulate
yourself, that by an early departure you are taken away, and delivered
from the shipwrecks and disasters that are imminent?" Cyprian
concludes his comments on the translation of the saints with these
words: "Let us greet the day which assigns each of us to his own
home, whichsnatches us
hence, and sets us free from the snares of the world, and restores us to
paradise and the kingdom" (Treatises of Cyprian - 21 to 26?).

o arrebatamento deve lembrar-se vários pontos.
Na Tribulação pessoas serão
salvas, e alguns serão martirizados.
Se houver um arrebatamento
pós-tribulacional, haveria:
As remissões para os santos na
tribulação, perseguidos pelo Anticristo.
Não há referências aos santos
terem sido retirados da terra.
Se houver uma
pré-tribulacional ou Mid-tribulacional Rapture, haveria:
Referências para a igreja, os
crentes, cristãos e santos na tribulação, sendo perseguidos pelo Anticristo.
E as referências à Igreja que
está sendo removida da terra.
Então, sabendo que as
referências para os fiéis na tribulação, não provam nada sobre o
arrebatamento, deveríamos procurar referências sobre a igreja que está sendo
removida antes do momento de ira. Aqui está o que os padres da igreja primitiva dito sobre o
arrebatamento:

O escritor, depois de escapar
de um enorme monstro aterrador, com quatro cores em sua cabeça (branco,
vermelho, preto e dourado), reuniu-se uma virgem na sua visão. "Como
uma noiva indo espuma de uma noiva-câmara, toda de branco ... Eu reconheci a
partir das visões anterior que era da igreja." a
virgem explicou que escapou da destruição da besta (Grande Tribulação),
devido à libertação especial de Deus. "Tu
te escapou de uma grande tribulação porque creste e à vista de tal tens uma
enorme besta não duvidou. Ide, portanto, declarar o eleito do Senhor Seus
atos poderosos e lhes dizer que esta besta é um tipo de grande tribulação que está para vir.
Se vós, pois, preparar-se e com a sua vez de todo o coração ao Senhor em
arrependimento, então, sereis capazes de escapar disso, se o seu coração é
puro e inocente. " Depois
de explicar-lhe que "a cor dourada significa para você que escaparam
deste mundo," a virgem concluiu sua mensagem com: "Ora, vós sabeis
o símbolo da grande tribulação para vir. Mas, se estais prontos, deve ser
nada ".

Comentário sobre o Apocalipse
6.14 - "E o céu retirou-se como um pergaminho que se enrola.Para o céu a caminho
laminados, ou seja, que a Igreja será tirado. "E a montanha e as ilhas
foram movidos de seus lugares." Montanhas e ilhas removidos de seus
lugares íntimos que, na última perseguição a todos os homens partiram seus
lugares, ou seja, que o bem será removido, procurando evitar a perseguição.

Comentário sobre o Apocalipse
15.1 - "E vi outro sinal grande e admirável: sete anjos tendo os sete
últimos flagelos, pois neles está concluída, a indignação de Deus." A ira
de Deus sempre atinge o povo obstinado com sete pragas, ou seja,
perfeitamente, como se diz em Levítico, e estas devem ser a última vez,
quando a Igreja deve ter ido para fora do meio ".

Epístola 55 - O anticristo
está chegando, mas acima dele vem de Cristo também. O
inimigo anda cerca e se encoleriza, mas logo o Senhor segue para vingar o
nosso sofrimento e nossas feridas. O
adversário está furioso e ameaça, mas há um que pode nos livrar de suas mãos.
"É significativo que ele não escrevia sobre suportando a perseguição do
Anticristo. Contrário, Cipriano prometeu que Cristo é Aquele que pode nos
livrar suas
mãos. "
Cipriano Falando da imanência
do arrebatamento, ele escreveu: "Quem não gostaria de implorar para ser
mudado e transformado à semelhança de Cristo e chegar mais rapidamente à
dignidade da glória celestial". Depois
de contar aos seus leitores que a ressurreição vindoura era a esperança do
cristão, ele aponta que o arrebatamento deve motivar-nos como podemos ver nos
últimos dias que se aproxima. Cipriano
diz que "nós que ver que coisas terríveis começaram, e sei que as coisas
ainda mais terríveis são iminentes, pode considerá-la como a maior vantagem
para se afastar o mais rapidamente possível". Referindo-se
a esperança do arrebatamento se aproxima, ele encorajou seus leitores a
seguinte: "Você não dar graças a Deus, você não congratular-se, que por
uma partida antecipada é levado, e entregues a partir de naufrágios e
desastres que estão iminentes ?
" Cipriano
conclui suas observações sobre a tradução dos santos com estas palavras:
"Vamos cumprimentar o dia que atribui a cada um de nós a sua própria
casa, que arrebata-nos, portanto, e nos liberta das armadilhas do mundo, e
restaura-nos paraíso
e o reino "(Tratados de Cipriano - 21 a 26?).
