Soteriology ~ The Doctrine of Salvation:

God in His omniscience and foreknowledge knew in advance that man would sin and be in need of salvation, and consequently planned for and provided Jesus Christ, the Savior to deliver His people from their sins.
Genesis 3:15; Deuteronomy 18:15; Isaiah 53:1-12; Matthew 1:21; Acts 2:23; Acts 4:27-28; 1 Peter 1:10-11,20

All mankind is sinful, under the wrath of God and under the influence and dominion of darkness which belongs to Satan.
Matthew 13:38; John 3:36; John 8:44; Acts 26:18; Romans 2:5; Romans 3:23; 1 John 3:10

Jesus Christ, who was sinless, died and shed His blood on the cross for the sins of the world as a substitute (in our place) to provide forgiveness of sins and eternal life to those who believe.
Isaiah 53:4-6, Isaiah 53:11-12; Matthew 20:28; Matthew 26:28; John 19:30; Acts 10:43; 1` Corinthians 15:3; 2 Corinthians 5:21; Galatians 3:13; Ephesians 1:7; 1 Timothy 2:4-6; 1 Timothy 4:10; 1 Peter 2:24; 1 John 2:2; Revelation 1:5

Salvation is received by belileving in Jesus Christ and what He has done for us and that it is a free gift of God based on faith and not determined by the merits of man, parentage, or by works of any kind.
John 1:12-13; John 3:18,36; John 6:47; John 10:9; John 14:6; John 20:31; Acts 4:12; Acts 13:39; Romans 3:24-28; Romans 4:1-5; Romans 6:23; Galatians 2:16; Ephesians 2:8-9; 2 Timothy 1:9; Titus 3:5

All who are truly saved will never lose their salvation for any reason because Christ has saved them and Christ keeps them as His own, providing for us eternal security, a sure foundation and a comfort.
John 5:24 "greek"; John 10:27-29; John 18:9; Romans 8:1; Romans 11:29; 1 Corinthians 1:8; Ephesians 1:13-14; Ephesians 4:30; Philippians 1:6; Hebrews 13:5; Jude 1 "greek"; Revelation 3:5

Every person who is saved or will be saved has in eternity past been chosen by God and their names were written in the Lamb's Book of Life.
Luke 10:20; John 15:16; Acts 13:48; Romans 8:29-30; Ephesians 1:3-4; 1 Thessalonians 1:4; 2 Thessalonians 2:13; 2 timothy 2:10; Revelation 13:8; Revelation 17:8

All true believers at death go immediately into the presence of the Lord and will be with Him for all eternity.
Psalm 73:14; Luke 23:43; John 11:25-26; 2 Corinthians 5:6-8; Philippians 1:21-23; Revelation 21:3; Revelation 22:1-5

Salvation is described in Scripture in three tenses:

Romans 5:1; 1 Corinthians 15:2; titus 3:7

Sanctification ~ We are being saved from the power of sin.
Romans 6:19; 1 Corinthians 1:18; 2 Corinthians 2:15
